VITA Tom Koehler is founder of connecting trust and a recognized cybersecurity visionary leader and trusted advisor at board level. 

He focuses exclusively on cybersecurity and integrated risk management, providing business strategy, governance, risk management and M&A advisory services to a wide range of clients.

Tom Koehler has more than two decades of international cross-sector and government experience. His track record of strategy excellence and his global cybersecurity industry knowledge helps clients not only deliver cybersecurity oversight enhancements but drive their organizations' agility to master future threats more efficiently.

Prior to his partnership at connecting trust, Tom held a variety of senior executive roles with global advisory and technology leaders. These include: partner at EY European Advisory Center and GSA, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Strategy Officer at EADS/Cassidian Cybersecurity, Head of Public Sector at RSA (Dell) in D-A-CH, Director of Information Security Strategy & Communications at Microsoft Germany and Country Manager at VeriSign D-A-CH.

The European Network & Information Security Agency (ENISA) elected Tom ad personam into the permanent stakeholder group (2015-2017), which advises the Executive Director on the development of the Agency's work programme. 

He is also a member of the board of trustees at the Horst Görtz Institute of IT Security, a post he has held since 2010.
